Yoshikazu Shiobara Seminar

This seminar is attended by students studying sociology and social change. In class, we read interdisciplinary literature related to the transformation of the modern world and conduct reports and discussions. Students then decide on their own themes and methods of expression, spending two years on their graduation research or graduation projects. We also continuously engage in service-learning educational practices outside the university, aiming to achieve deep thinking that connects the knowledge learned in class with on-site experience. While participating in support activities for children and young people living in the Tokyo suburbs who have foreign roots or come from families struggling with poverty, students explore the possibilities and challenges of a cohesive society.
